10th Anniversary PINK Procurement Expo and Conference

The success of women-owned businesses in a primarily male-dominated space is beautiful to see. The unique trials and tribulations they must go through in a primarily patriarchal world serve as difficult obstacles on the path to success, but when they succeed, everyone does. Recent decades has seen an uptick in success of female entrepreneurs and businesses, leading to increased innovation and job creation, mostly due to their resilience and adaptability. On a similar note, women-owned businesses also foster diversity and inclusivity, with studies showing that many woman-led startups are vital in social impact sectors, which are important for addressing issues such as sustainability and community development, key areas for progress.

The importance of women in business cannot be highlighted enough, and as they become increasingly important in the business sector, it is also important to celebrate the accomplishments they have already achieved. That is why the National Association of Women Owned Small Businesses are holding their signature PINK Procurement Expo and Conference that celebrates and connects procurement and purchasing buyers, and their agencies with women business owners. What makes this event especially momentous is the fact that it is the 10th anniversary of this event, and to commemorate that the event will be held in Charlotte, North Carolina at the Tabbris Innovation Center. The event will feature Women Owned Small Businesses (WOSB) as Exhibitors and Presenters as well as inviting Procurement Departments to meet each contractor/supplier/vendor. This is a fantastic way to meet new businesses and their owners while also showcasing the success and work that your own business has achieved, potentially paving the way to do business with each other. However, they are only highlighting twenty women-owned businesses, meaning it is a select group invite, not a general invitation. Despite the finite number of featured businesses, the benefits of being one of the twenty includes being featured on the NAWOSB website, an exclusive website that markets WOSBs to government agencies and others looking to do business with women owned companies, offering a unique opportunity to grow their business.

This event, as mentioned prior, will be held at the Tabbris Innovation Center in Charlotte, North Carolina in the Factory South location. The event starts at 10:00 AM EST on Thursday, September 19, 2024 and ends at 2:00 PM EST, with continental breakfast and lunch offered for registered WOSBs.
